Canteen and Contents of a Soldiers Haversack: Personal gear such as a pewter plate, folding knife, horn spoon, wooden cup, flint and steel were carried in the soldier’s haversack.
Powder Horns: Despite the official use of military cartridge boxes, the familiar powder horn remained very popular among militia and riflemen.
