Organized February-March 1776 on Eastern Shore from Accomac, Northampton, Goochland, Albemarle and Augusta Counties.
Entered Valley Forge with the 5th Virginia Regiment and the 1st Virginia Regiment.
Previous Engagements: Chesapeake Bay, Northern New Jersey, Defense of Philadelphia
